Why Bernie Capitulates

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

We had high hopes for Bernie. I am convinced he would have won on a third party ticket, had he real balls instead of mosquito bites between his legs. Oh well, the sad part is that I understand why his balls are so small. It is written in the stars, of course!

Moon Conjunct Mars

Add to the mix, Mars conjunct Moon. Mars is the most personal planet because Mars is the engine of desire, and the Moon is the most tribal planet because she is the root that began us. These people collect family and territory like souvenirs; fiercely protecting them, at all costs. In this case Bernie cannot find it in his viscera to fight Joe, a long-term member of his political family, regardless of Uncle Joe’s really bad behavior over the years, because, well, that would be disloyal to his desire for his political family unity as well as his personal one. Again, Jane likes the Bidens and she is his Moon.

Moon conjunct Mars is difficult because the person’s desire to initiate his independence is automatically challenged by his need to cooperate with his womun. I know a man who went to prison for his drug addicted, lying, thieving wife because, well, “She’s not a bad person, and besides, I promised to be loyal at all costs.” It doesn’t matter what she did. It doesn’t matter that she will never admit what was wrong. She is family and loyalty is priority one. Not that Jane did any of those things.

He aligned with the Democrats long ago and there he stands, waiting for the puppy to drown, the house to burn. Why would so heroic an individual allow the destruction of innocents? Because puppies are a dime a dozen, and he wants his friends to like him, and his friends drown puppies. “It’s called compromise, people.”

The Dems have been nice to him, having included him in their Crab Club games and it would look like betrayal for him to leave. He worked hard to be in with the in-crowd, the Crab Club. He remains at the bottom of the bucket with all the other crabs, unwilling to climb over the others to make his escape over the edge because that would upset his club credentials.

On the other hand, the Club tolerates his rants in front of Congress, as long as he votes for more Pentagon funding. He is compliant, but why? He needs their love. His willingness to be the odd man out, blustering about inequality, is a function of Moon/Mars, the angry crabby malcontent of the Club. “Oh that’s just our local cage rattling member. Don’t mind him. His wife bakes a lovely pound cake.” Although Mars is a natural Rescue 911 type, the Moon is a conforming member of the Tribe.

Moon opposition Venus

There is basic insecurity, baked right into the Bernie cake, along with two cups of good intentions and a tablespoon of initiative. I do not mean to sound uncharitable, but when someone shows you who they are in 2016, don't expect them to be someone else in 2020.

Moon/Venus represents the urge to be attractive. The person wants to be liked. But in opposition, as in Bernie's chart, the person feels unloved and works to remedy the feeling by collaborating to get love.

He wants successful personal relationships. So why wouldn’t he collaborate with the Jill Stein, Elizabeth Warren or Tulsi Gabbard to leave the Democrats, even though he calls himself Independent? Because he had no history, no roots with them. They are Tribe New Guard and he is familiar with Tribe Old Guard. “My friend Joe.”

The I/Thou Axis - Aries/Libra

Aries is the first responder of the zodiac. He works out in the fire station with the other warriors, waiting for the alarm to sound. Off they go, sirens blaring, to the next emergency. When the adrenaline wears off, Aries goes back to the station to wait for the next emergency. Bernie's Moon in Aries acts on impulse, without thought. His Mars in Aries jumps in front of trains to rescue puppies, without thought. Bernie has been jumping on the tracks to rescue his peeps since he was a pup himself, so why can't he just do this thing for Americans at this time in history? Answer: His Venus stands in the the way.

Libra is the diplomat of the zodiac. Venus in Libra people are not necessarily easy, soft or otherwise endearing, but they play the game of nice because they are in it to win it. The tricky part is that the impulsive Rescuer is opposite the wary Diplomat. His dirty little secret is that he is not an Independent at heart, because his Diplomatic part is in control. When persuasion does not work, diplomats have been know to attend a puppy roast with a smile on their face.

With Moon/Mars in Aries and Venus/Mercury in Libra, Bernie is compelled to be liked by his comrades, even at the expense of the progressive movement. These energies are deeply personal and self protective. In the long run, his survival depends on the part of the iceberg below the waterline. Once again, Jane is an important factor, as she is his Venus as well as his Moon and we have all heard her say that she likes the Bidens.

Venus/Mercury in Libra

Jane’s subterfuge is the frosting on our cake. She is the better pretender. Libra evaluates social resources as if they are love and money. She is the strategist. Love and money are interchangeable. Libra loves, values and attracts esthetic and leveraged relationships, fair deals and cooperative contracts. Cooperation can be her best or her worst attribute. In the case of Mars opposing her, it may be one of her worst, because the battles are too personal.

Mercury is a duplicitous character. Mercury is the wind in Trump's hair, and the toilet paper on his shoe. Mercury just caused Biden to trip up the stairs to his airplane. Mercury is the mind that performs magic shows and counts cards at the casino. He is wiley, like the Coyote. Mercury in Libra will do a round robin mental circle jerk with himself through eternity in a marathon attempt to outmaneuver the other guy. His attempts at logistics end up pleasing no one because he tries so hard to please everyone. Mercury in Libra works diligently to figure all the angles, but does he get it right?

Oppositions are difficult

Bernie is rendered helpless when it comes to winning a race against Jane or Joe. It is against his nature. He sees his adversary from across a room, but come to find out the opponent is his womun, his pal. When these two archetypes face each other, the person cannot resolve wanting approval versus getting what he wants. He cannot bargain with the face of propriety. He is weakened. He capitulates.

In spite of having “the Most Dangerous President in the History of the United States,” Bernie is unable to twist the knife into his friendly opponent. He does some intricate tap dancing to drink the "hate Trump Koolaid" and then relent on all of his spoken values, but that demonstrates the power of this aspect in his Astrology chart.

He has betrayed his entire movement, millions of people who donated to him and worked for him. He has discouraged countless young people who put their trust in him. He was very sensitive to the fact that the poor have funded his campaign. Instead of using the money for the advertising recommended by experience advisors, he held back. Why would he do that?

He then fired the experienced advisors and instead went with a team of newbies who did not challenge his instincts. Why would he do that? Certainly not to win. Why? “This is who he is.” Said several of his newbie aids.

What is the point of amassing power and then not using it at the most important crisis of your life? Why didn’t Bernie stop many destructive bills from passing? His voting record goes along to get along. Why did Bernie allow the Corprocat Party to steamroller the American people? The answer is simple. Moon opposite Venus people have trouble with independence. So much so, that they back down to be liked.

It is a weak aspect, because with two powerful feminine planets, Moon/Venus opposed in cardinal masculine signs, Aries/Libra, the message gets scrambled. And so it stands. Bernie capitulated in 2016 and 2020, because he never was an Independent. He is a "let's scratch each other's backs" kind of guy. Too bad we drank the Bernie koolaid, but he did open the discussion. We can be grateful for the conversation.
